Good afternoon everyone, how are you?

Well, here I am — the second full week of work is over, and it’s Sunday morning. Last night before bed I thought I’d treat myself the morning. So, this morning I made myself almond pancakes, some with chocolate chips, some without; cooked up some bacon in a frying pan; whipped up some milk and has foamy coffee. It was nice, really nice. I paid the downtown area a visit last night; its a really cute place.

You know I have a bit of a confession: I talked to my parents this morning. They called to ask how my week was and I honestly had a hard time remembering. This may sounds strange, but it’s a little hard to remember what happens every day once I go to bed and start thinking about tomorrow. I think it’s just a side effect of focusing on the present as opposed to the future.

Now don’t read that as my not enjoying my work or anything like that. I do enjoy my work — I’ve been getting myself into a routine, I’ve learning a lot, I’ve been getting the lay of the town and where everything is. I think it’s all still very fresh and new and it’ll take a bit longer for me to get used to it. I think I just have to keep focusing on the present and finding meaning in each day.

Now, what are my plans for the rest of the day? Well I thought I’d do a little schedule-checking, go walk around the local park. I’ve been working on a gift for a friend of mine that I need to find a proper shipping box for.

So, I guess I’m off!
