September is here! That means it’s time for the fall season (I had my first Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino this morning) and it’s time to get cozy with sweaters and tea. Life has been a bit crazy lately with travel and a brief bout of sickness, but I’m ready for my Project Pan: Lip Edition September update!
If you’re just now reading this, a few months ago I started a Project Pan of my lip-rated makeup to get more into the habit of using them and to use them before I start buying more. I gathered a few of my oldest products and put them into a little pile on my desk so I would (hopefully) remember to use them and we’re going to check on my progress today!
A Reminder Of My Project Pan Products
- ColourPop Lippie Stix, “Cami” (and the corresponding ColourPop Lippie Stix Primer)
- ColourPop Lux Liquid Lip Disney Designer Collection, “Flynn”
- ColourPop Lux Liquid Lip Disney Designer Collection, “Wonderboy”
- ColourPop Lux Gloss, “Eternal Flame”
- ColourPop Lux Lip Oil, “Fresh Peach”
Project Pan: Lip Edition Halfway Update
Let’s start going through these lippies in order and see how we did! First is the Lippie Stix in Cami, which is easily one of the most-used products I have in this collection. I included the Lippie Stix Primer in this slot as well since the two are meant to be used in conjunction and I thought trying to use them both up would be better. Based on my marking from mid-June, I’ve used about an inch’s worth of this product and have maybe a little over an inch left before this one is totally done. AMAZING! The primer tube is opaque, so I cannot tell how much I’ve used, but this product duo I’m going to call a win. I’m mainly focused on using the color product:.
Verdict: Massive Success
Next, the Lux Liquid Lip in “Flynn”. I haven’t used this as much as the Lippie Stix, but I have used it a little bit since I last marked down my progress. I want to day maybe a quarter to an eight inch or so of an inch I’ve used since June (which is actually more than I’ve used Wonderboy). I have used it in the past few months, but I’m not close to finishing this product and I’m not super proud of my progress there. This one is going to need more work since there is about ¾ of the lippie left.
Verdict: Little Success
The Lux Liquid Lip in “Wonderboy” I know I have not used consistently in the past few months. I can’t remember the last time I used it, actually. I know this one has fallen by the wayside, naturally, since I have several products in this Project Pan but there has been no visible change in progress from last time. If I can use up some of the others here, then this one can be more of a priority. This is also the case for the Lux Gloss in “Eternal Flame” — I put a little on before I sat down to write this but I cannot fully tell how much product is left or how much I’ve used lately.
Verdict: Failure
Let’s end this off on a positive note! The Lux Lip Oil in“Fresh Peach”, as I suspected in my Project Pan post and my initial try-on, has quickly become my desk lippie at work. I keep it by my water bottle and I have indeed used it quite regularly. There is only about half left of this little tube, which makes sense because I apply it in the morning and throughout the day. I don’t think I’ll have a problem with finishing this one off.
Verdict: Massive Success
My Plan Through December for Project Pan Success
December will be my final update in this Project Pan, so expect another post about this by then! I think I’ll have better luck if I focus on the products I’m close to finishing first and then start working on the ones that I haven’t done super well with. Cami, Flynn, and Fresh Peach I’m hoping will be all finished by the end of the year so I can work on Wonderboy and Eternal Flame. Then maybe I will allow myself to finally buy all the new Power Pout lipsticks!
