The time has come (the Walrus said)! Again. That’s the phrase I’ve been saying lately so I apologize to anyone that isn’t a Disney Alice In Wonderland (1951) fan. But if you’ve been keeping up with this blog, then you know I recently read my first-ever TBR Jar pick, Disappearance at Devil’s Rock By Paul Tremblay. My full review is live and you can check that out if you’re interested, but now it’s time to pick another slip of paper out of the jar!

Hand-Picking One Of My June Reads With You!

I already have another book lined up to read, but I want to have another title “on deck” to either read concurrently or right after. And similar to my May pick, I want to very poorly mimic the act of drawing out of the jar on-camera by going through the steps and then just typing it out here. Each slip of paper has a title on it from my master TBR List (instead of reading prompts) and we’re going to see which one is next!

Pause for mug shaking and picking one.

Our June read will be 56 Days by Catherine Ryan Howard! This one is interesting because it’s a forced-proximity, closed-door thriller that takes place during the 2019-2020 COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns; basically a couple that just started dating decides to isolate together and one of them ends up dead. I’m hoping it’s a good read!
