The time has come! I have now finished My Favorite Boss by Melanie Moreland and I’m ready to choose my next fun-read book! I do have to read The God of the Woods by Liz Moore by the end of May for Book Club, but until then I do have a slot open in my audio library. Which means — it’s time for our first-ever TBR Jar pick!

Hand-Picking My Next Read With You!
In case you missed it, I created my own low-budget TBR Jar in an effort to be more whimsical and to actually work through the books on my TBR list. I find it really hard to actually pick one to read next, without getting distracted by other books and without just procrastinating, so I converted a mug I recently painted and oven-baked into an adorable little grab bag.
I know people usually draw one of the little slips of paper on camera, so I thought it’d be fun to mimic that in this post. As I type out this post, I am— in real time — picking out one of the little slips and opening it and telling you what it is! As a reminder, each slip of paper is a title of a book instead of a reading prompt and whichever one I pick — that’s what I’m reading next.
So……..let’s shake up this mug and see what we get!
Pause for mug shaking and picking one.
Our next read is going to be…Disappearance at Devil’s Rock by Paul G. Tremblay! My plan is to get cracking on this one pretty soon so I get it out of the way, and then I can read The God of the Woods closer to the due date so it’s fresh in my mind. Check back soon!
