One key indicator, for me, that Spring and Summer are on the way is the return of Colorado Rockies baseball games. I am not by any means a true baseball fan; I have a rudimentary understanding of how the game works but I know nothing about any of the team stats, players, or anything anyone intimately familiar with the sport would know.
But outside of the apparently horrendous opening weekend record this year, I truly love going to Rockies games. Not because of the sport itself, but simply because of the experience of being at Coors Field. Taking the light rail down there, walking around the stadium, getting a Helton burger or eating at Mountain Ranch Club & Bar and Grille, sitting and enjoying the warm weather — it’s all so much fun. I truly love the atmosphere whether the Rockies win or not; especially when there’s fireworks.
