I am a big fan of Colorado Avalanche hockey, which means I watch the games live either in-person or on T.V. whenever I can. But in all my weeks of watching the broadcast team pan to Head Coach Jared Bednar, I have cultivated a single thought.
Anyone who watches the Avs knows Bednar is very stoic on the sidelines; always has a poker face on and you can never tell how he’s feeling or what he’s thinking. Doesn’t matter if the Avs are winning or losing; no change at all. If you replaced Bednar with Sam the Eagle from The Muppets, nobody would ever know the difference. This man is so cool, so collected, I am confident substituting him for Sam for even a couple of camera shots wouldn’t raise any eyebrows and nobody would question it.
