It’s time for Round 2! I’m so excited to introduce my second-ever Project Pan, but it’ll be slightly different this time. I mentioned in my accidental January Makeup Declutter that as I’ve been continuing my month-long organization and decluttering project, I’ve gotten rid of about 11 products that I don’t use and haven’t worn in a long time. This has inspired me to do another Project Pan — but this time, it’s a combination of a Project Pan and Project Use-Up.

What’s The Difference?
Breaking this into two different categories — Pan and Use-Up — allows me to not only use more of the makeup I have, but also helps me finally use up a bunch of lip, eye, and face products that I’ve had for a hot minute. The goal behind this 2025 version is 1) I’m actually starting it in January, which gives me the whole year to see how I do, and 2) my focus is on using more of certain makeup products and using up some makeup entirely. Plus, instead of focusing solely on lipsticks like I did in 2024, I’m throwing in a few eyeshadow palettes that already have significant dips in them and my Lawless Perfecting Powder that I’ve already hit significant pan in.

2025 Edition: Products, Details & Rules
All told, this is how the Project Pan & Use-Up: Lips, Face & Eyeshadow Edition is going to work. By the end of December (at the latest), I want to:
Use More Of (Pan):
- ColourPop Going Coconuts Neutral Shadow Palette
- ColourPop Nude Mood Warm-Nude Powder Palette
- Seint Beauty Custom Face Palette (trio of products)
- Thrive Causemetics Sheer Strength® Hydrating Lip Tint, “Kara”
- Bobbi Brown Lipstick, “Bunt Red”
Use Up Entirely (Empty):
- ColourPop Lux Lip Oil, “Fresh Peach”
- ColourPop So Juicy Plumping Gloss Balm, “Vacay Mode”
- Lawless Perfecting Powder Talc-Free, Skin-Smoothing Powder, 2-Light
- Bellapierre Cosmetics Mineral Lipstick, “Incognito”
- NARS Lipstick, “Immortal Red (Matte)”
You may recognize a few of these additions if you frequent this blog, like the So Juicy Plumping Gloss Balm With Peptides I tried for the first time last year, or my first lip oil, the (of course ColourPop) Lux Lip Oil. But even if they haven’t been showcased here, the Going Coconuts and Nude Mood palettes I’ve had for at least a few years and are my go-to neutral color schemes when I want a low-key look. But especially with the newer palettes I’ve added to my collection lately, I want to see if I can turn some of those dips into actual pan.
We’ll Check Back in June (or Earlier!)
I honestly don’t think it will take until June for me to make significant progress on this; we have a good mixture of old and new products. That being said, if I can really buckle down and commit to prioritizing using these over other products I have, I think I can come back in a few months with more than one or two successes. Plus — again — it’s all about enjoying what I already have before I go and buy all the pretty makeup in all the pretty colors; that’s a problem I have (especially with eyeshadow). Wish me luck!
